Description

Congratulations on being accepted into the Rehabilitation Medicine Scientist Training Program (RMSTP) and investing in your career as a rehabilitation researcher, the success of your institution, and our specialty and patients!

These costs cover the quarterly teleconference calls, allows attendance of the RMSTP Workshop at the AAP Annual Meeting, and covers the valuable year-long mentorship opportunities appropriate for your individual phase of participation.

The RMSTP offers a Research Career Development Workshop yearly at the Annual Meeting of the Association of Academic Physiatrists (AAP). This workshop is a valuable opportunity to receive intensive education and networking at each of the four (4) phases of RMSTP through a series of lectures, small group interactions, and individual meetings. The workshop process provides individualized support to candidates to define their research domain, select appropriate mentors, and plan for maximal productivity in their research training and funding proposals. Attendance at the workshop is by invitation only, and is strongly recommended, but not required, prior to submitting applications and moving to the 'Applicant' phase.

Cost for participation in each phase, except Graduate, is separate from AAP meeting registration, but the in-person aspects of the RMSTP workshop, which are highly valuable, are only available to those who attend the Annual Meeting, while the teleconference support is available regardless of meeting attendance.

Please provide to pay for your participation in RMSTP in one of the following phases:

>> Phase I Pre-Application (residents, fellows, junior faculty interested in rehabilitation research)

>> Phase II Applicant (candidates ready to submit for career development grants)

>> Phase III Funded Fellow (candidates with a successful career development grant)
